Chasing down poor quality highway repairs

I started 2026 hot on the trail of some poor road repairs on the Tesco roundabout in Meir Park. The City Council's agreed policy on repairs means that permanent repairs should have overbanding applied, however these two large patch repairs in the ward were clearly missing this. At the time, I was advised that it was due to a broken machine, however would be rectified asap. Several months later, and a few chasing emails later, it was clear this wasn't about to happen - so I resorted to asking a question of the cabinet member at full council.

Apparently the work had been done... so time for me to turn detective...
